Finding your child’s MySpace profile

There are several ways you can find your kids’ MySpace profile if they have hidden online online.  Here are some techniques for your consideration.

Step 1.)   Get your own MySpace account…and set your area code to be where the school is located.

Step 2.)   Next, click on Search.

Step 3.)   Type in the name of the school your child attends and peruse the results.  Remember, if kids want to hide their MySpace.com participation, they’ll use fake names or avatars.  There’s a good chance you’ll find who you are seeking.

Another way to find your child’s MySpace.com account is:

Step 1.)  Search for your kids’ friends’ names.

Step 2.)  Once found, look who their friends are.  Your kid might have put a false profile there.

I firmly believe in monitoring one’s children online.   Your kid might not do MySpace at home, but that doesn’t mean she or he won’t log in when at the public library!  Always be proactive.
